St Thomas's School in Merseyside was founded in 1976 and boasts a student population of 180. They have implemented a solution that has completely transformed their I.T classrooms into a modern learning environment boosting academic performance.

Challenge

To replace the terminals so pupils are unable to load any of their own software on-to the PC and only giving students access to software and materials applicable to their studies. Implement new technology to store all information in a centralised location. Save time when installing new software onto PC's and printers and to resolve security issues of misuse and theft of equipment to reduce the schools expenditure.

Solution:

it4 refitted each classroom with the very latest Thin Client terminals acting as a central point for all the school's I.T needs, keeping everything secure and in one place. Equipment misuse has dramatically reduced since the installation occurred with the management of the system far less intensive than previously experienced with the previous PC setup.
